[read more...] The Beast of Ballyhoura Adventure Race kicks of tonight and the lucky 12 teams that have entered the race are about to experience an uniquely Irish 36 hour non-stop race across the ancient & magical surroundings of counties Cork, Limerick & Tipperary. Helen Baxter from LVO set up some orienteering training last night at Hillsborough Forest. Nine runners turned up for the informal session between the dark clouds and rumblings of thunder, but luckily it managed to stay dry for us. The training involved a Norwegian map memory course. |
